The first man-made safari park in Sri Lanka, Ridiyagama Safari Park, first welcomed visitors in 2016. With the help of Sri Lanka’s National Zoological Department, it was constructed for tourists. The park, which covers 500 acres, is home to 22 types of animals, mostly birds and mammals.

Ridiyagama Safari Park Overview
The 500-acre Ridiyagama Safari Park is situated in the Ridiyagama region of Sri Lanka. This Safari Park, which debuted in 2016, is unique to Sri Lanka.
The park’s main objectives are to house large beasts and birds. Six zones make up the park area, with four zones housing carnivorous species and two zones housing herbivorous ones.
Lions, tigers, and leopards are some of the carnivore animals found at the zoo. This park also contains a 54-acre Sri Lanka Elephant Zone, an 80-acre World Zone, and a 35-acre African Lion Zone.
It also plans to build tiny animal kingdoms in Australia, Asia, and Africa.
With the intention of attracting tourists, the park was built under the direction of Sri Lanka’s National Zoological Department.
Children and those who aren’t big wildlife fans will enjoy the safari park very well.
